The Latest and Greatest
So how long has it been since I've updated this blog? I haven't even looked at it yet. LOL A year? Two years? I know it was before Brooklyn's birth. Crazy to think that this time last year we were getting ready for Papa's death and Brooklyn's early delivery (though we didn't realize how soon both of those would be).
Fast forward to now? Well, here we are... pregnant... again. But with TWINS!! So yeah. We thought we were done after Brooklyn but God has other plans for this family. Six kids in 6 years. Yikes. I've been pregnant the whole time we've been married, I think. *sigh* LOL We are excited to be blessed with such an amazing miracle. Twins; just ... WOW. Identical twins. They are due February 17th. We'll hopefully find out for sure what we're having on September 27th. Right now we have a really good idea that they are boys but we will see next month.
Brooklyn is growing by leaps and bounds. She will be a year old on the 26th of September! Less than a month away, can you believe it?!! Its hard for me to wrap my brain around! Wasn't it just yesterday that I was 31 weeks pregnant and wondering if all this miserable pain could be labor pains? She is absolutely gorgeous (as are all of our girls) and as sweet as I've ever seen a baby. This child is full of nothing but smiles and giggles. She is definitely a Daddy's girl and lights up the room with her smile when Daddy walks in the door. She is still my petite little one but developmentally, she is right on track for her age (not adjusted). She is crawling and cruising all over the place and is working on standing all by herself. Its crazy to think she may be walking by her birthday at this rate!
Raegan is getting so big and her vocabulary is growing by the day. It is so funny to hear some of her comments. She's quite a smart cookie. She got me laughing this morning when I asked her to please throw away her wet diaper and she looked at me and calmly exclaimed "Hai do it!" (Haidyn will do it) She loves to help out around the house and to follow her older sisters around, much to their dismay.
Haidyn is still my little shorty though she has definitely gone through a growth spurt and is look so slender. She just turned 5 years old and is so ready to start kindergarten next year. To the point that she willingly naps in the afternoon to "practice" for when she has to do it in school. LOL Works for me! I've got to get them all used to napping and being on a routine or it will be chaos when the twins arrive.
Morgan just started 3rd grade and is loving it, as always. I'm so blessed to have such a self motivated little lady. She brought home homework for the week. One was due the next day but the rest wasn't due until Wednesday, Thursday and today. She immediately started on it when she walked in the door and finished it that same evening. I'm so proud of her. I don't remember ever being that enthusiastic about homework. LOL :)
Okay. So that's the "brief" update on all of the girls. I am sure I've left off a lot of stuff but my brain is becoming preggo mush and I need to get back to working on dinner. I will do my best to update this as our girls grow and my pregnancy progresses.
